The end of the year 2022 will be busy for video game lovers. Many studios have planned to launch new games during the last months and the impatience is palpable around some titles. Here is a list of the 11 most anticipated games.

1- The Lord of the Rings: Gollum (September 1)

J. R. R. Tolkien’s novel is going to have a new adaptation outside the cinema. Gamers will soon be able to play as the cunning Gollum in a video game developed by Daedalic Entertainment. But other well-known characters from the universe will also make an appearance. Gollum’s adventure will begin in the prison of Barad-dûr. To escape from Mordor, he will have to defeat Sauron’s army through combat and infiltration missions. The gameplay will be in third person only in single player mode. 2- Splatoon 3 (September 09)

3- Overwatch 2 (October 4)

If Overwatch 2 is so eagerly awaited, it’s because it also brings new features. 4- Gotham Knights (25 October)

Scheduled for release on October 25, 2022, Gotham Knights is a third-person action game based on the DC Comics universe. It will take place in the mythical city of Gotham City where players will be able to embody 4 characters. Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood will have the mission to bring order after the death of Batman. They will have to deal with the Penguin, Mr. With the Court of Owls, Freeze. In addition to the single-player mode, Gotham Knights will feature online multiplayer. The game is developed by WB Games Montreal and Warner Bros is the publisher. 5- Call Of Duty (2022): Modern Warfare II (28 October)

7- Hogwarts Legacy: The Hogwarts Legacy (November or December)

Hogwarts Legacy is the first video game based on the Harry Potter universe. It is scheduled for release in November or December 2022, but no official date has been announced yet. The popularity of the Hogwarts novels and their cinematic adaptations has already benefited the game. Avalanche Software created and Warner Bros. released Hogwarts Legacy. 9- Slime Rancher 2 (End 2022)

Slime Rancher 1 was a phenomenon in the video game world. Its principle is to collect as many slimes (fictional creatures) as possible and to raise them in a ranch built by the player. The first part of the game was a huge success, so the anticipation for Slime Rancher 2 is unbearable. The new opus will still allow players to embody Beatrix LeBeau who will go to a territory called Rainbow Island. The game will probably be available at the end of the year on PC and Xbox Series X|S.

10- Little Devil Inside (End 2022)

Developed by Neostream Interactive, Little Devil Inside describes the adventures of monster hunters. The game’s otherworldly setting combines action and survival. Players will have to achieve their mission objectives through various courses. They will have to brave environmental conditions like snow or desert on their way. firearms, a sword, a shield, etc. will be made available to them and survival items (grapples, tents, kitchen tools…) will be included in the goods. The release of Little Devil Inside has been announced for the end of the year. It will be available in cooperative mode and in solo version on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, PC and Nintendo Switch.

11- Sonic Frontiers (End 2022)

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, Sonic Frontiers, a future video game, will be published around the holidays in 2022. The game will be released by Sega on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam. Sonic Team is working on developing it. Sonic the Hedgehog is separated from Tails and Amy after he falls into a wormhole in Sonic Frontiers while he investigates the enigmatic Starfall Islands in search of the Chaos Emeralds.
